scrappy pumpkins

It's one of my most favorite times of the year & a few weeks ago I got a serious case of the "fall crafting bug"!! =) I just HAD to sew something Autumny!
That's when I saw a friend on IG making these adorable little pumpkin blocks & I just new what I had to make!! In a few hours I'd whipped up a bunch of these little pumpkins, using mostly scraps & bits of leftover fabrics.

After all the blocks were made I just sewed a strip in between each one & ended up with a runner almost 6ft. in length! And Boy, is it hard to photograph something this long! Any tips you could share with me?

I decided I wanted a more natural & organic type of quilting so I went with this organic line. I am really happy with how it turned out & love the modern movement it brings to the runner!

I had the perfect basic orange dot for the binding & what better print for the back than Lizzy Houses candy corn?! you might find this hard to believe, but candy corn is definitely not a favorite fall candy of mine. I'm a chocolate girl all the way!! lol=)

I think this Heather Ross wildflower pumpkin has to be one of my favorites! Its just so cute & chubby.

I'd love to see yours if you make some of these! They are just so easy & satisfying!

Happy fall Sewing!! xxKaren

  2. I just found you via the Sew Mama giveaway, and was browsing: I LOVE your pumpkins!! Can I pin them? I so want to do these, and pinning helps me remember my inspiration! Hugs, Helen in Healdsburg
